A determined and confident racer, California's Todd Thompson thinks he has what it takes to battle the Chris Ridgway/Mike Schultz duo that dominated XG Super X Adaptive last year. Thompson lives the sport. His paternal grandfather and father raced motocross, his maternal grandfather raced cars, and today Todd runs an MX hop-up shop called Power Curve Performance. Todd was a local pro in Northern California in the late 1990s until a crash cost him his right foot and ankle. He still rode a bit for fun, but ever since learning of XG Adaptive last year, he's dedicated himself to racing again, riding four days a week and cycling seven days a week. At home, he's a husband and father of two. How confident is Thompson? He wants to keep training and riding next year and attempt to race the non-adaptive Super X race in 2011.
