A rookie at Winter X Aspen 2012, Battersby finished 9th in Slopestyle. The New Zealander recently graduated from high school and started chasing North American winters in 2012. Battersby proved herself at the New Zealand Open in 2011, where she finished 3rd in slopestye. She currently lives in Frisco, Colorado, with a pack of fellow Kiwi snow-lovers.
