Alberto Schiavon is a 33-year-old Italian racer who builds snow parks. He's been to WX seven times and has bronze from 2010. He wasn't able to return to the medal stand in 2011 after he crashed in practice at WX and fractured his right heel, right thumb and stretched ligaments in his right shoulder. He was racing again, and winning, in March 2011 (Valmalenco, ITA).
Italy's Luca Matteotti and Alberto Schiavon won the World Cup snowboard Team SBX event, beating Americans Jonathan Cheever and Alex Deibold.
