The original snowboard rebel who three-peated in Snowboarder X (1997-1999), it's been 11 years since the now 43-year-old last medaled at WX (2001 UltraCross gold). Once considered one of the best athletes in the world, the multitalented Palmer owns WX gold in Skier X, Snowboarder X and Snow Mountain Biking -- 6 gold in all. Also a motocross racer, Shaun entered "Day in the Dirt" in November 2011 and won the Vintage Class. The oldest athlete at Winter X 2012, Palmer's last race was WX 2011, where he crashed in the Semifinal and ultimately finished 10th. A documentary about his life, "The Miserable Champion," premiered in Jan. 2012 at X-Dance in Salt Lake City.
