Mathieu is the strongest French rider on the men's SuperPipe roster and earned silver at Winter X Europe in 2010. He's had decent results at WX, especially in his first year, 2007, when he finished top 5th in Slopestyle and 9th in SuperPipe. He was the FIS World Champion in 2007 in both halfpipe and Big Air and landed the first switch backside 1260 in contest history at the '07 World Championships in Arosa, Switzerland. He has competed in two Winter Olympics for France, finishing 10th in 2010.
