Finland's Roope Tonteri barely missed the Final at his first Winter X (2012). He comes to WX Tignes with a stack of accolades: He won the 2011 Burton European Open powered by a Cab 1440 (he'd only done it once before). The 19-year-old won the first contest he ever entered in 2005, the Burton Amateur Slopestyle in Sappee, Finland. He says with a laugh that he's between amateur and pro status. His standard slopestyle tricks are backside 1280s and Cab 1080s, "depending on the jump line."
