Eighteen-year-old Cai Xuetong -- a WX rookie in 2012 -- is perhaps the most promising female halfpipe rider ever to come out of China. At the Breckenridge Dew Tour in Dec. 2011, she finished third to Kelly Clark and Gretchen Bleiler, beating veterans like WX 2011 silver medalist Kaitlyn Farrington. Her standard run includes a frontside 900, and she's working on a backside 900 for this year. As young Cai gains more experience, she will likely become a podium contender at Winter X.

Several teens are hoping to land on the podium at Winter X Games 16 in Aspen.
