Curren is a 16-year-old skate and surf rat and the first XG athlete to be born after the X Games began in 1995. Curren took the XG Park contest by storm in 2010, finishing 4th against a stacked field. He fell hard in practice and hit his head in 2011 and wasn't able to compete. He's a gifted skater and smooth surfer with a personal skatepark and his favorite wave close by his house in Ventura, Calif. Curren is homeschooled and will start 10th grade in the fall. His family will be at X Games, including his dad, former pro surfer Evan Caples.
