In 2011, Rory Mead left New Zealand's enduro scene and his job as a home builder to fulfill a dream of becoming an off road champion in the United States. Today, despite increasing credit card debt and troubles with his visa, Mead is winning races on the Grand National Cross Country series where he sits third in the standings. This former trials rider has raced only two AMA EnduroCross events in his career with a best finish of 9th last year in Indy.
