From humble beginnings in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mat Hoffman rose through the BMX ranks to become the sport's foremost pioneer of riding. Hoffman has pioneered over 100 iconic tricks within the realm of freestyle BMX, including the first backflip fakie, the first flair, the first handrail grind and the first no-handed 900. Simultaneously, Hoffman has suffered more than 45 broken bones, endured multiple concussions and undergone numerous surgical procedures, all in the name of BMX progression. And that's not even mentioning the countless demos he's done, the bike company he started from the ground up or the hundreds of contests Mat has organized along the way.
In mid-September, ESPN BMX sat down with Hoffman for a candid video interview, discussing Hoffman's meteoric rise to the top, along with the many bumps in the road that he's encountered along the way.
Truth To Me: Mat Hoffman, drops on ESPN BMX on November 11, 2009. The feature includes the exclusive Hoffman interview along with a retrospective photo gallery and write-up. And not only that, we'll be offering an exclusive Condor giveaway package for one lucky viewer.
