Here's a special treat for everyone. Not a lot of people know this, but Jimmy Levan isn't just an iconic BMX pro. He's also the respected owner of Metal Bikes, and a visionary videographer.
Remember Metal's severely underrated first video Faded Glory? Jimmy filmed and edited the majority of that. Same goes for Metal's second video, Dead Bang. Anyway, a few months ago, Jimmy got in touch with an idea about filming his hometown scene of Louisville, KY. (Jimmy returns to the 'Ville a few times a year, and he was eager to ride and film with the new crew of riders that has emerged in the area.)
So after a few months of back and forth, Jimmy sent over the following video, and it's really good. It features a ton of Louisville area riders riding the 'Ville's unique spots, and it's straight from the dude that probably motivated everyone in the video to pick up a bike in the first place.
Next up for Jimmy, aside from starring in a bank heist movie set in Berlin, Germany, is directing music videos. And as with all things Levan, the sky is the limit. So enjoy Levan's Louisville, and let's hopefully stay tuned for more. Thanks Jimmy.
