Mega Dub Flip - More BMX Videos

In 2004, Chad Kagy broke his neck when he over-rotated a double backflip during practice at the Gravity Games. Eventually, and miraculously, Chad made a full recovery and returned to riding. Now with most people, you'd think that such a severe injury would bring about a tamer approach to riding, but Chad Kagy isn't like most people. When he got back on the bike, he really got back on the bike. And in the time since, Chad has been at the top of his game in vert, park and the mega ramp.

But this is just plain ridiculous.

Over the summer, while practicing for X Games Big Air, Chad started firing out the very trick that took him out; only now he's landing them over 50 ft. mega ramp jumps. "I was getting ready for X Games earlier this year and didn't get the chance to fire it out from messing up a few of my runs. Maybe next time," says Chad. Check the video above.

The simple fact that Chad got back on the bike and continued to progress was amazing enough. But returning to the very trick that broke his neck, and doing it over a 50 ft. jump successfully, demonstrates, for lack of a better word, that Chad Kagy ain't skeered.

Hopefully, we get to see this pulled in X Games 16.
