Flatland exists as a subculture within the BMX subculture. The bikes are smaller than typical BMX bikes, the tricks take more time and patience to perfect, and the small but dedicated group of riders within flatland often spend their days riding alone to perfect their craft. A few years ago, it almost seemed as if the flatland scene, moving in its own direction, was becoming alienated from the remainder of the BMX scene. But these days, flatland is back in a big way, and we've assembled ten reasons why everyone needs to pay attention to flatland in 2010, along with some beautiful flatland shots from Red Bull. Enjoy.
