Hot off the heels of Steven Hamilton's most recent part in the new Animal Bikes video "Cuts," Steven fell while skateboarding through traffic in NYC and broke his leg. Now comfortably resting up in Clifton, NJ, Steven took the time to answer some top fives for us. Here's Steven's take on videos, riders, tricks, spots and more. Get well soon Steven, and thanks for taking the time to do this.
Top 5 Videos
1. Animal bikes new video "Cuts." I've been watching it over and over, mostly my part since it's my first part in a while. Sometimes I start at Ralph's section, Tyrone's or other random points in the video. I like to watch my video parts over and over with different music and in slow motion with no music.
2. T**s and Toothpicks: A VHS tape of Ralph Sinisi and Sean Curran traveling across the country hitting up skateparks and hotels along the way. There're lots of interviews with young women by Ralph and super dry humor. The trip is edited multiple ways and loops over and over and seemingly never ends. It's great for passing time with my broken leg. They hit up Rampage, Scrap and a bunch of cement parks with guest appearances by Ryan Nyquist, Brian Vowell and Tom Haugen.
3. Butcher's "Random" video: I had never seen this video and I was super impressed by the Mat Hoffman footage at his warehouse. Other than that, there's tons of good riding and lots of hip hop shots of Butcher and Mel Cody and MCM riding and rapping that I had never seen. This seems to have been a great time in their lives and they all look super cool in it, like hip hop stars. I like the total vibe of the video a lot; like any ECD video maybe, minus some of the hate with added love.
4. Props Best of '97: This is the one with the drawing of the boy in front of the television on the cover. All the best music from the year plus a credits compilation at the end makes this look back on 1997 about as sexually confused as myself.
5. Wilkerson Airlines Non-Stop to San Francisco: Some old school riding that was fun to catch up on. Basically I've been watching every video in the bookcase here. I actually only watched this one once, so it's probably not really a top five. This one video "Superstars of Skateboarding" was awesome. It's a documentary about skateboarding in 1987 in America. They interview a skater in NYC and he says, "If you can skate here and not get hit by a cab, then you can skate any where 'cause the cabbies here straight up try to run you over!"

Trips
1. RF 11, Those trips were fun. I think they are all equal. Taking a trip is normally better than not taking a trip. Even if the trip is terrible, you still did something instead of not doing something. I like to just go sometimes to punish myself for something very terrible I did. The Cali trip in 2001 from Columbus to Long Beach and back on Greyhound buses was great. All the trips I used to take to Michigan were always really fun.

Top 5 Bikes You've Ridden
1. I like the Federal Fraction that I had that was black, when I went to Prague, Czech Republic and England, basically all black (glossy) with chrome rims and cranks.
2. Before that, I had a different Federal Fraction that was spray painted red that I think was a great top five bike for me.
3. The two longer bikes that I rode most recently have been great bikes. The first one, a 1066 was a 20.75" and pretty hard for me to manual on. And the second one is pretty a great jumper for me and all around.
4. When I had neon yellow grips and neon yellow pads on my bike and had Powerlite power-bend handlebars cut down to where you hardly feel the bend and when I had gum tires on my chrome and anodized blue bike. I felt like my bike was cool and comfortable.
