When I first glanced at this photo of Alex Magallan, I thought "hmm, I don't if this will work for a POTD" but after further evaluation, studying the shot and reading the caption about it, I soon realized what was really going on and quickly changed my mind. This is pretty nuts, read the caption and the click on the 'Go Full Size' tab to see for yourself.
"It's hard to imagine what's in store when Alex calls me and says he has a photo to shoot. Never one to rest, Alex and I met up the day after he returned from his Austin escape, energetic and ready to hit up his hometown with a fresh riding perspective, since it had been over four months since the last time he'd cruised Nashville. In fashion with most of his riding, photographing Alex can be very challenging, especially when combining a stair chasm, one story drop, ledge grind, and light post in a single frame. To fill in the rest of the story behind this single frozen moment, Alex hopped up on the bar height skinny ledge on the left with speed, jumped laterally at the end of the ledge to the wall and feebled the wall, the dozen of so feet between the stairs and the floating light fixture, and after passing the light he rejoined the ground which at that point was about ten feet below the wall." -Andrew White
