Since telling you about the closing of the original Ramp Rats skatepark in Nor Cal last month, and the opening of the new one, I've been trying to get my hands on an edit showcasing the new Ramp Rats 2. ESPN contributor Chris McMahon was just waiting for the perfect reason that would bring all the locals together and make it easy to collect footage. He lucked out when Ramp Rats held a birthday party bash for Damian "Squirrel" Schinella and that brought out all the old schooler's with some good, classic riding.

"On September 11, 2010, Nor Cal O.G. and (noted conspiracy theorist) Damian "Squirrel" Schinella celebrated his 33rd birthday. Intent on having both a night out with the boys and getting a much needed chance to ride, Damian set up a party at Ramp Rats 2 in Santa Rosa, inviting friends both young and old to come out and have a good time. Attendees included legends such as Ron Wilkerson and Maurice Meyer, and mid-school shredders Shea Nyquist and Cameron Birdwell. The party was a great time, as was the riding, and I'm really glad that I went. Happy birthday, Squirrel!" -Chris McMahon
