Last week, Fresno PARCS Action Sports put on the second Annual Mosqueda Summer Pro/Am. Organized by local rider and PARCS-AS supervisor Ryan Garcia and taking place in California's largest concrete BMX park, Mosqueda, the event had a large turnout, including Cult's Robbie Morales and Crazy Chris, BMX wax entrepreneur Lil' Mikey Beeswax, a local taco vendor serving up home-style carne asada, and an assortment of shredders from Southern, Central, and Northern California.
After an assortment of amateur classes had competed, including a heavily bagged expert class, the pro competitors took to the course in three groups, with each rider getting a 45-second run and four 30-second runs. Style almost took the victory, as Kink rider and Mosqueda regular Chad Osburn smashed and slashed through the course, but, after a tiebreaker runoff, Kevin Peraza came through with the victory by a small, but well-deserved, margin. Rounding out the top five with third, fourth, and fifth place were SRH's Jason Lopez, Daniel Sandoval, and Vitamin Water's Ben Snowden.
