The Canadian Concrete BMX Series kicked off its sixth season this past Sunday under sunny skies at Kirkstone Park in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. Attracting approximately 60 amateurs and ten pro riders, the park at Kirkstone has something for everyone. What is Canadian Concrete? As organizer Blaise Olsen of Kill 'em All Promotions puts it. "The longest running non-competitive contest series in Canada." Each event continues to attract ams and pros alike, and as Blaise explains: "We try to put on contests that are not actual contests, because it encourages more kids to enter and have fun." Indeed the loose jam format and relaxed attitude make for some good times and the main reason why this series continues to grow year after year.
