Launch Gallery »Over a decade ago, Ruben Alcantara left his native Spain to live the BMX dream in America, expanding his horizons, living with fellow pros and competing in U.S. competitions such as the X Games. After several years in the U.S., Ruben decided to return to Malaga, Spain and pursue his lifestyle as a BMX pro on home turf. Now 37 and well established back in Malaga, Ruben continues to travel, film and progress his riding in the area where he originally discovered BMX.
On a recent trip to Malaga, ESPN contributor Matt Brown met up with Ruben and got the grand tour of Ruben's humble abode, which Ruben was kind enough to share with all. This is the home of one of the most progressive BMXers of all time: Ruben Alcantara, AKA El Pollo Loco.
