It's no longer a deeply held secret that most of today's BMX pros, despite obligations to sponsors, ride Odyssey BMX forks. And that's because for over a decade, Odyssey and their trusted 41-Thermal® process have produced some of the strongest, most dependable forks in the history of BMX.

This year, Odyssey went back to the drawing board and re-evaluated their range of forks. The result, after almost a complete redesign, are three new forks in the Odyssey range, the R-32, R-25 and F-25 forks. Features include custom tapered, butted and specially formed legs for improved grind and guard clearance, optimized 3/8" slotted, 4mm thick dropout shape for grind and peg clearance, a re-designed steerer tube (which has been proven through ride and laboratory testing to greatly improve strength and durability), a new built-in headset race, a re-designed, patented 7075-T6 pre-load headset bolt, and two offset options: 32mm offset (traditional) or 25mm offset (steep). Also, the F-25 forks feature u-brake mounts.

But Odyssey didn't stop there. They created new packaging constructed of recycled paper pulp, with reinforcements in the right areas to protect the forks while in transit. The new packaging is more Earth-friendly, aesthetically pleasing and built to interlock with additional Odyssey fork boxes for easy stock storage and access in tight to maneuver bike shops.

So basically, by buying a new pair of Odyssey forks, you're not only getting an amazing set of forks backed by a lifetime warranty against breaking of bending, you're also helping to save the Earth. Right now, colors of the forks include black, white and limited color runs, and retail of the forks in the U.S. is $134.99 (plus $5 if you want brake mounts).

Of course, everyone in the BMX world would shoot me if I didn't mention weights, so here goes:

R-32 FORK: 1 lb. 15.7 oz. (899g) with pre-load bolt and uncut steerer tube
R-25 FORK: 1 lb. 15 oz. (879g) with pre-load bolt and uncut steerer tube

Look for the new Odyssey forks to be shipping to better bike shops now.
