BannedBanned BMX's new Colt45 handlebars and Sludge stem, available in March.

Since the deaths of Banned creator Rickey Bates and Banned team rider Gary Dimartine five months ago, the Banned crew has steadily been working on an upcoming Banned hard goods line, including Dimartine's signature "Sludge" stem and Colt Fake's signature Colt 45 bars. Today, thanks to Outspoken Bikes, we got a sneak peek at the new line, which will be available next month and help to endure the legacy of both Bates and Dimartine.

Dan's Comp/Hoffman Bikes flatland pro Matt Wilhelm spends most of his time on the road doing shows and demos, but when he gets a break from touring, Aurora, Ill. is his home base. We cruised through the Chicago suburbs, past Stan Makita's donuts, to check out Matt's house and personal indoor riding warehouse. While there, he showed us his spare bikes and parts, his medals and trophies, his musical instruments, and his unique approach to riding on a floor that's typically too slippery for a flatland tire with 120 PSI. Welcome to the Wilhelm residence.

This edit is comprised of some footage of some old projects that never got used or were hidden on my hard drive. That's not to say that any of it is throwaway footage though. Featuring guest appearances by Raul Ruiz and Jackson Ratima, Chris Brown gets it done in the Los Angeles area with smooth nose wheelies, rail rides and a very locked-in over grind.

Prior to Sunday night's Super Bowl XLVI match, featuring the NY Giants against the New England Patriots, Kevin Robinson (of Providence, R.I.) and Scotty Cranmer (of Jackson, N.J.) made a friendly wager about the game. With Kevin being a Patriots fan, and Scotty being a Giants fan, the wager involved bike cleaning. If the Patriots won, Scotty would have to clean Kevin's bike at the next X Games, and if the Giants won, Kevin would have to clean Scotty's bike.

As we all know by now, the NY Giants beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI with a score of 21-17. And Kevin Robinson graciously accepted defeat to Cranmer. In the above video, we witness the build up to the game and the eventual conclusion, along with some killer fan footage of Cranmer. Once K. Rob cleans Scotty's bike, we will update this story. In mid 2009, a new crew emerged from the Levittown/Philadelphia, Pa. area emerged dubbed The Chocolate Truck. Featuring riders that include John Yoh, Kevin Vannauker, Steve Tassone, Nick Barrett, Ryan Mohn, Herman McCracken, Joe and Ryan Niranonta, Keller, Brendon Reith, Matty Miller, Dan Bob, Ratty and Carl Brown, a trailer for an upcoming Chocolate Truck video had everyone talking, and us anticipating the release. To our knowledge, the DVD still hasn't arrived, but Chris Marshall has been steadily shooting with the various members of the crew, and what follows is a selection of shots from Dan Bob, Kevin Vannauker, Matty Miller, Joby Suender, John Yoh and Steve Tassone. I apologize for this sub-par intro, but I am exhausted after working straight through for the past 17 odd days. I've also got a weird knot in my hamstrings, so there.

Odyssey BMXOdyssey's latest Metallic Silver color kit is available now, and won't be around forever.

Today we're switching things up a bit in regards to a product profile. Instead of featuring one product and boasting about the technical features and why it's the need-to-have component of the week, I'm taking some time to examine the latest color kit from Odyssey BMX -- the metallic silver color kit.

Animal BikesJared Washington, mere feet away from the building where I had Intro to Music Theory in 1996.

Last Friday, Jared Washington premiered his latest Web video for sponsor Federal Bikes. Featuring friend and riding partner Dominic Biro, the video has been viewed over 20k times in just over two days. While most web videos are here today, gone tomorrow, I decided to hit up Jared about his "return" to web videos, the finer points about producing the latest video, and what in the world he was doing in the town I originally grew up in. Here's Jared.
