Awe, giveaways ... we all love 'em. Well, everyone except me. Don't get me wrong, I love giving out rad product to readers, but I get kind of bummed when I have to giveaway something I want for myself. Like these brand new, fresh on the market Catalyst L.A. gloves and Block tee from DEFT Family. If you haven't had a chance to see, touch and sniff the DEFT gloves in person, you don't understand how dope they really are. Actually, Racer X Illustrated said it best in their December issue product guide, or "Deluxe" as they call it.
"Gloves get overlooked too frequently. Most gear companies spend all their time working on the outfit, then throw some gloves together to match them at the eleventh hour. The people at DEFT spend all their time working on gloves. These things are like slipping your hand into a warm sleeping bag filled with rose petals, little puppies and love. It's like a full-body massage for your digits."
So who wants to treat their digits to a full-body massage? For this giveaway, all you need to do is tell us one thing you would do to improve the current state of FMX in an effort to progress the sport and the scene. It's pretty tricky, but think about it good and hard. Since DEFT is all about progressing the sport, they're always open to input regarding making FMX a doper sport, universally speaking. We want FMX to be around for a long time, but that means we need to progress ... not just the tricks, but the overall lifestyle, scene and perception.
Of course, there are rules, so click here to read them. But basically, you can't be under 18 and you have to live in the United States. The contest winner will be picked next Friday (November 6th) by DEFT owner and FMX ripper Nate Adams and will be announced via the ESPN FMX blog.
For all of you who missed it, here's the rundown on how to win:
Leave us a comment telling us one thing you would do to improve the current state of FMX in an effort to progress the sport and the scene.
Comments that include profanity, or personal attacks, or antisocial behavior such as "spamming" or "trolling," or other inappropriate comments or material will be removed from the site. We will take steps to block users who violate any of our terms of use. You are fully responsible for the content that you post.

Ryan Leyba
Leyba is a bitter, retired FMX rider that likes to sit in his cubicle and call the professionals of the sport wussies for not pulling 360s and double backflips. He claims he quit riding FMX before flips were even invented... yeah, right.
Cliff Talley
Making FMX videos exciting is easy. Making them look good is not. Cliff Talley does both of these well and still manages to find enough time to piss off his neighbors with his Travis Barker-esque drum skills.
Chris Tedesco
You've seen his photos on the covers of Transworld, Racer X and more. You've also seen his tequila shooting skills at your local dive bar. Ladies, Chris is single and looking to mingle.
Grant "Goba" O'brien
FMX in Australia wouldn't exist if it weren't for Goba. Well, maybe it would, but it wouldn't be nearly as cool. I don't know why, but we can't quit calling him gobalobadingdong it just rolls off the tongue.
Tes Sewell
Tes is the dude that's always involved in everything that's going on in FMX. How he does it, we don't know, but that's the reason we hired him to share his plethora of FMX wisdom in the form of a monthly column.
