On July 17th, Australia's Cam Sinclair suffered one of the worst crashes anyone has seen on a dirt bike while attempting to pull a double backflip during his run at the fourth round of the 2009 Red Bull X-Fighters in Madrid, Spain. In a medically induced coma for nearly a week, Sinclair knew he had a long road ahead of him, but nobody, including him, thought he'd be back on his bike and X Games ready just one-year later. Well he was and like the true champion he is, Sincs threw down a perfect double backflip, winning his first-ever X Games gold medal -- a comeback of epic proportions bigger than anything previously written in history books.
ESPN Australia was along with Sincs for the entire ride and just this week, they aired a thirty-minute episode of Aussies Abroad featuring the determined Aussie. We'll be bringing you the three-part episode over the next few weeks, starting with the first one above. Check it out and be on the lookout for the other two dropping soon.
