DragonHere she is in all her beauty. The Dragon MDX Nate Adams DEFT goggle. The DEFT logo can be seen on the alternate side of the strap.

After adding another two X Games gold medals to his collection this weekend, bringing his total medal tally to 12, Nate Adams is proving that he is arguably the best FMX competitor this generation has seen aside from Travis Pastrana. And with big accomplishments come big rewards. For late 2011, Adams' eyewear sponsor Dragon felt it was time to offer him another signature model for his extended efforts, this time coming in the form of a Dragon/DEFT Family collaboration goggle, which is Adams' stylish and successful new glove company.

WHAT IT IS:
Goggles and gloves don't have too much in common except for the fact that they're both considered apparel accessories and they're both very visible in both photos and video. So, in an effort to make the DEFT rider more stylish, Dragon took DEFT's most stylish glove -- the Catalyst 2 Brush glove in yellow and purple -- and mimicked the graphics on their most popular goggle, the MDX, thus creating a perfect harmony between head and hand.

Dragon has been around since the inception of FMX and has always carried a very solid team of riders, who have in turn been able to do plenty of R&D on their products, creating virtually the perfect FMX goggle. The MDX is Dragon's classic goggle and is known for having a perfect fit within the helmet and against the rider's face. Composed of a one-piece outer-mask, the MDX features a unidirectional airflow system, moisture wicking micro-fleece lined face foam for sweat absorption, and a Lexan lens that offers 100% UV protection.

Chris TedescoNate Adams wasn't rocking the Dragon/DEFT goggle at X Games 17, but you can bet you'll be seeing it at the next Red Bull X-Fighters round in Poland.

WHY IT RULES:
If you want to be like Nate Adams (and let's be real, who doesn't?), then a great starting place would be by purchasing the Dragon DEFT MDX collabo goggle. However, you can't have one without the other, so you'd also need the DEFT Catalyst 2 purple and yellow glove to top off the look. Throw in a little One Industries gear, learn a 360 nac nac and you'll be mistaken for Adams in no time.

WHERE TO FIND IT:
The Dragon MDX Nate Adams DEFT goggle will be available late August/early September at any official Dragon retailer. You can also pick up the goggle directly from DragonAlliance.com or any legit online retailer.
