Talk to anyone that rides a dirt bike Down Under about Seth Enslow and they'll tell you about their favorite scene of him jumping big gaps in one of the many Crusty Demons videos that have been produced over the last decade. Enslow is a god-like figure to extreme moto fans in Australia, the warrior who has beaten his body to a bloody pulp all in the name of "busting big!" But busting big isn't something you can keep doing forever and Enslow, now age 36, is spending his time in the country he calls his second home, giving back to the fans that have supported him over the years, and as you'll read he's having a good old time doing it!

ESPN.com: Hey Seth, good to have you Down Under again. What have you been up too?
Seth Enslow: I've been all over the place spending a lot of time tattooing people in-between the Seth & Bubba Ride Days we've been running. Over the years on my travels to Australia I've met a lot of friends in the industry and they let me pop in to tattoo when I'm in town. It's cool, like the last few days I've been hanging out in Geelong, Victoria with my old friend Tery Baker, who's always wanted me to come down and check out his shop called Jinx Proof, and now I'm working here.
That's a pretty good deal, to be able to travel and make money out of your art wherever you go.
Yeah for sure. It's been good as it's keeping me busy too. I get bored when there's nothing to do as usually I only have gigs booked on weekends, and if I have nothing to do during the week I end of partying too much and spending money instead of making a little extra, so I'm happy to have the opportunity to be tattooing.
What kind of tattoos have you been drawing up, your designs or the customers?
Both, like some people know what they want and they'll come in with a picture ready to go then I'll dial it in and give it my little twist. One guy came in the other day wanting his racing number and the year he was born, 82, inked on his back. I put the 82 on a front number plate with flames coming out around it plus added a few stars and he was stoked -- it turned out nice!
So, besides the tattooing your main reason here in Australia is the Seth & Bubba Ride Days, right? What's the deal with those?
For many years we've been coming over to do the Crusty shows, which would go down on a weekend, and then we'd have all week to hang out. Many times after a show at an after party, or at an autograph signing I had guys ask me, "What's the chance of going riding with you?" I've got bikes, gear, property, what ever you need. Let's make it happen!" I always laughed it off because it felt at the time far fetched due to my own bikes being already shipped to the next stop, and because we were on tour and locked in, so the chances of me saying, "Hell yeah let's go for a ride" when these people were asking was slim to none.
Then last year my buddy Paul "Deanso" Deans hooked up a ride day with a bike shop he works for and 30 people showed up. We hung out, rode, I signed pictures, their bikes, and they asked questions about jumping and body position, to the movies I made etc. It was a real big hit and everybody loved it. Then I got talking to another buddy about it, Adam Barton, and he said "Let's put this ride day deal together and do a few of them!" And that's what it needed, someone to make the calls, line up the tracks, insurance, etc. to make it all viable for Bubba and myself to fly over. It's good to be finally giving back to the people what they've been wanting all these years, and that's a chance for them to ride with the video stars they've been watching for the last decade!
Crusty DemonsSeth Enslow sits on the starting line awaiting to holeshot his fans and friends at a "Seth and Bubba Ride Day."Now that the ride days are in motion how's the response been so far?
It's real good, the kids are all happy. We've had one in Mackay, Queensland, and we had another lined up in Warrnambool, Victoria, but it has been raining so much the track is too wet for us to use, so we've rescheduled it for November when the weather is better. We also have another one lined up for Hobart in November, which is great as we can handle up to 200 riders with the insurance we have, and there are a lot of riders keen to go.
We're even thinking of bringing in a portable ramp to some of the ride days to give the local FMX riders a chance to show what they've got. The young kids trying to make a name for themselves and haven't had the chance to ride in a show yet. We're sure there are plenty of kids out there that would like to come and hang with Bubba and myself for the day and show off their skills. We want people to know what we're doing is a core deal, we're not rich, we're just hard working farm boys that are down to earth just like you, and we're here to help grow the sport and spread the love!
It's also a great opportunity for you guys to unearth some talent, right?
That's it, like the bar in freestyle is set so high now so what are you going to do to make a name for yourself so you can get a shot at Best Trick at X Games? Huck a front flip, triple backflip? What are you going to do to put yourself above that bar? There's so many kids out there now wanting to be the best, and most of them are starting out at a level that took us OG's ten or so years to build up too. They've been watching all the tricks progress over the years on video, and have thought them through in their minds and are already way ahead of the game. They're young and fearless as they haven't been hurt yet, and we'd like to give these kids an opportunity to show off their talent while we travel the country. Give them a chance to live their dreams you know.

It definitely sounds like Seth Enslow is entering a new phase in life.
Yeah, I think it's time you know. I'm 36 years old and have a three year-old daughter. I've got the 300-foot mark, the Harley record, and now I just want to ride bikes and have fun, and like I said spread the love and give people what they've been asking for. It's great to chill, have a BBQ, a beer, and go for a ride whenever. I don't have the drive or the reason to go big anymore, been there and done it, and now it's time to move on and explore other ways to make a living.
Australia has been good to you over the years, kind of like a second home; what do you like about it most?
It has been a second home. Last year I spent over four months here travelling all over, and have definitely seen more of the country than most Australians! I love it all, everybody is always good to me and there's always work for me to do here. And it's definitely been a great place for me to make money in the moto world during my career over the last decade.
For your future ride days how to people get in touch with you?
We have a Seth & Bubba Facebook page, plus I think we have a website being built, or just type into Google "Seth and Bubba Ride Days" and anything attached to us will pop up.
Good luck with it all Seth, thanks for chatting!
Yeah no problem, we just like to keep it cool on the ride days so it doesn't matter what level you're at, just come along and hang out for a chat, ride, and if you want a few tips to help get you to the next level we're here to help you!
