Medal Heads Jeremy Lusk (left), Kyle Loza and Todd Potter (right) soak in the glory.

The first medals have been handed out for an X Games 14 Moto X event and it was Kyle Loza who found gold—buried in a tunnel near the landing. I'm not going to give you a play by play, because if you're reading this than more than likely you watched it all go down live on ESPN, but all I can say is "DOPE"! Everyone hung it out, showing that sometimes hype can only take you so far, but skills and dedication will win the medals. Mucho props go out to Jim DeChamp for hucking the front flip and I know that when he's ready to come back and give it another go, everyone will still be there routing for him.

Gold: Kyle Loza—75' Electric Doom
Silver: Jeremy Lusk—75' Double Grab Backflip
Bronze: Todd Potter—75' Ruler Flip

After the event, I asked Loza to sum up Best Trick with one word: "My parents are here so I can't really do that", jokes Loza. After thinking about it one more time around, he responded with "cool." Ya, I'd have to say that being the first rider in history to win back-to-back gold medals in X Games Best Trick is definitely "cool."
