There seems to be a lot of shoe news as of late and doesn't look to be slowing down one bit. If you haven't heard, James Stewart has just signed with Nike 6.0, which is huge, but this blog isn't about that this is about etnies and their insane new moto collection.
As you know, etnies has been in the moto game for a long long time over a decade to be exact. Not many shoe companies can claim OG moto status like that except maybe DC Shoes. So, couple days ago I got a call from one of etnies elite few, Ashton Maxfield. He invited me to the NYC showroom to come peep the new signature Twitch kick, as well as the new Metal Mulisha kicks, and of course I accepted his invitation. Metal Mulisha's General Brian Deegan has been with etnies for over ten years before the Mulisha was even an official deal. So, to celebrate the Mulisha's "Decade of Dominance", etnies worked closely with Deegs to create something really special, and that they did.

The etnies Mulisha Fader
For '09, etnies will be releasing two Metal Mulisha models and both of them are really dope and definitely differ from each other. The etnies Mulisha Fader (black and white model) boasts a massive Mulisha skull and features somewhat of an "all over print." This shoe is more for the people that want to tell the world, "I'M DOWN WITH THE MULISHA FOOL AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, THEN BACK THE F*%K UP OR I'LL STICK THIS SIZE 11 SHOE UP YOUR %$&!" I just made that up pretty cool, huh?
On the other hand, the etnies Mulisha Chrome (black and gold model) is a bit more subtle and classy something that you rarely see in kicks aimed at the moto market. Metal Mulisha logos still adorn these bad boys, so you don't have to worry about that, but they aren't so "in your face" per say. The attention to detail on both Mulisha models is pretty damn impressive and it's easy to tell that a lot of Brian Deegan's influence went into the design of the shoes.

The etnies Mulisha Chrome
For '09, Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg flipped the script on his signature etnies shoe and completely redesigned it from the sole up. The always fresh Twitch picked and pulled things he liked from already existing etnies models to create his new potential best seller. The "Twitch" will come in three different colorways and all of them are pretty damn dope. I'd have to say my faves are the chronic green ones...
Both the Mulisha and Twitch shoes are set to release around June and can be purchased at your local etnies dealer. It's pretty likely that most mall chain stores will carry these bad boys. For more information, check out etnies offical moto site at etniesmotox.com. Bombaclot...

Making FMX videos exciting is easy. Making them look good is not. Cliff Talley does both of these well and still manages to find enough time to piss off his neighbors with his Travis Barker-esque drum skills.

You've seen his photos on the covers of Transworld, Racer X and more. You've also seen his tequila shooting skills at your local dive bar. Ladies, Chris is single and looking to mingle.

FMX in Australia wouldn't exist if it weren't for Goba. Well, maybe it would, but it wouldn't be nearly as cool. I don't know why, but we can't quit calling him gobalobadingdong it just rolls off the tongue.

Tes is the dude that's always involved in everything that's going on in FMX. How he does it, we don't know, but that's the reason we hired him to share his plethora of FMX wisdom in the form of a monthly column.
