Even though we haven't seen much of Mike Metzger in the way of riding lately, The Godfather has been getting busy with his multiple projects. What's Metz been up to? Well, for starters, Metz and his family made the move from his hometown of Menifee, California to beautiful Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. If you don't know where that is, it's in the upper east tip of Idaho and it's an absolutely awesome little town. My parents live a couple hours from there and every time I visit them, I try to get down to Coeur d'Alene to hang out.
As far as moto goes, there's not too much going on up there, but that doesn't really matter because Metz has been staying busy riding 2Moto Snow Bikes, which are dirt bikes modified to ride in the snow. Supposedly Mike has signed a deal with 2Moto to help promote and pioneer the sport of Snow Biking. According to Metz, motocross legend John Dowd has been racing snow bikes and is absolutely killing it.

Wanna play in the snow? Hit up Metzger and I'm sure he'll show you a thing or two about snow bikes.
Besides snow biking, Metz has just signed a deal with the Sensory Overload Tour, which is a tour consisting of 32 demos featuring FMX, BMX and mini bikes. The tour will follow IRL, NASCAR, NHRA and the Moto GP and it begins April 16th. CLICK HERE to view the entire schedule. Another cool thing about the tour is that Speed Channel has signed on to do 12 episode series that showcases what life is like on the Sensory Overload Tour. Sensory Overload TV premiers May 4th on Speed. Check your local listings for more information.
Metz is also busy putting the final touches on a new signature Oakley goggle, which features his unique artwork on the frame and strap. The project is pretty hush hush, but from what I gather, the goggle will be released later this year. Be sure to check
Oakley.com for further information.

Here's a sneak peak at Metger's new Oakley goggle. Looks pretty dope, huh?
And lastly, the Metzger Unlimited line has been expanding at a rapid rate. On top of the already released tees, hoodies, hats and stickers, Metzger Unlimited now offers a signature Metzger Kali helmet, a full line of graphics for every make and model, reprints of Metz's artwork, iPhone skins, belts and more. If you're a fan of Metz and his artwork, be sure to check out MetzgerUnlimited.com to cop some goodies.
Metz has also rented a 3,600 square foot warehouse in Murrieta, California, which acts as office space for the company, a warehouse and an art gallery. According to Metzger Unlimited head honcho Brandon Roberts, the place will be ran kind of like a back-alley style boutique, giving the public a place to check out the latest from The Godfather. There will be a grand opening April 11th. CLICK HERE for more details.
I told you... Metz is staying busy!

Leyba is a bitter, retired FMX rider that likes to sit in his cubicle and call the professionals of the sport wussies for not pulling 360s and double backflips. He claims he quit riding FMX before flips were even invented... yeah, right.
Cliff Talley
Making FMX videos exciting is easy. Making them look good is not. Cliff Talley does both of these well and still manages to find enough time to piss off his neighbors with his Travis Barker-esque drum skills.
Chris Tedesco
You've seen his photos on the covers of Transworld, Racer X and more. You've also seen his tequila shooting skills at your local dive bar. Ladies, Chris is single and looking to mingle.
Grant "Goba" O'brien
FMX in Australia wouldn't exist if it weren't for Goba. Well, maybe it would, but it wouldn't be nearly as cool. I don't know why, but we can't quit calling him gobalobadingdong it just rolls off the tongue.
Tes Sewell
Tes is the dude that's always involved in everything that's going on in FMX. How he does it, we don't know, but that's the reason we hired him to share his plethora of FMX wisdom in the form of a monthly column.
