Mike Mason wins ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross
The seventh annual ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross have come to a close in Pamona, California and it was Mike Mason who took the surprise win over four-time ASA World Champ winner Nate Adams after a hard-fought final round.
Throughout the night there were a few wild occurrences, including Nate's string of unexpected dead sailors in his final run, Ronnie Faisst's win over favorite Adam Jones with a flawless run in their first heat and Beau Bamburg's freak flat tire while competing aboard Adam Jones' bike. Unfortunately crowd favorite Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg was a no-show.
The ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross will be broadcast in an hour-long network television special on CBS Sports, on Sunday, December 6th at 5:00 p.m. ET, following NFL football.
Stay tuned to ESPN FMX as we'll be bringing you exclusive photos and video from the ASA World Championships throughout the following week. Everyone can rest now... the FMX off-season is officially in full-swing.
