AURORA, Ill. (October 6, 2009) — Feld Motor Sports announced today that CBS Sports will broadcast the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open Sunday, October 17 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. EST, featuring the world's top supercross racers competing in a one-class-one-champion format that awards $100,000 to the overall winner.

CBS Sports will give viewers an inside look at the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open and follow the emerging story lines throughout the 90-minute program. Both nights of racing and in-depth features will highlight the broadcast.

"CBS Sports has been our television partner for the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open since 2006, and we are happy to once again showcase this year's race on national TV," said Dave Prater, director of supercross, Feld Motor Sports. "With James Stewart and Chad Reed confirmed for this year's race, viewers will be treated to another epic battle between these rivals."

The Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open made its debut on CBS Sports in 2006 and since then has reached 4.6 million viewers.
