While promoters and fans alike were making a very big deal about the first-ever Supercross inside Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, for some it was easy to wonder why. After all, it was just going to be another bump-filled track on the floor of yet another stadium, right? While that was and is true, the racing did turn out to be something special at the inaugural supercross in Chavez Ravine.

TLD/Lucas Oil Honda's Cole Seely wasn't predicted by many to be a winner in 2011, but he led wire to wire in Los Angeles, while Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto got back to the top do the podium, where he obviously belongs.
