Arnette makes a comeback in moto with the new Series 3MX goggle

With the stylish Jeff Emig as their star motocross athlete, Arnette burst onto the scene in the early 1990's with a steeze unique to the moto eyewear industry. In a time when individualism, style and attitude were becoming a big part of motocross, Arnette helped pave the way with groundbreaking product and a mantra that many companies follow to this day. Plain and simple, Arnette was the "cool" kid on the block in the mid-to-late 90's.

However, shortly after making their mark in moto, Arnette was sold to eyewear giant Bausch & Lomb, who in turn sold it to the Luxottica Group, eventually taking the wind out of company's action sports sails. After Luxottica's acquisition of Arnette, it wasn't long before the company ceased production of motocross goggles and disappeared from the action sports scene all-together. Fast forward to 2011 and Arnette is back in full force with X Games gold medalist Adam Jones playing an integral part in pushing their new goggle, the Series 3MX.

WHAT IT IS:
Arnette's second-generation moto goggle dubbed the Series 3MX is essentially the company's popular Series 3 snowboard goggle, incorporating the small tweaks necessary to optimize it for dirt.

Features of the goggle include a true anatomical fit, articulating strap attachments for micro-tweak helmet compatibility, posts for tear-offs, and triple-layer face foam to wick away sweat and maximize comfort. The Series 3MX also features a Cool Breeze venting system, which promotes maximum air-flow while the scratch-resistant Lexan lens provides UV protection, impact resistance and the best in fog-free visual performance.

WHY IT RULES:
Coming in at a very affordable retail price of $44.95, and with 14 super-slick colorways available, the Series 3MX goggle takes it back to the old school. In fact, the new goggle is so sick that new Arnette team rider Adam Jones can't seem to hold back his excitement. "It's rad to ride for Arnette," he says. "The new motocross goggles work really well. I remember seeing the MX goggles years ago and always thinking they were awesome, so to be the first team rider back on the program is an honor."
