From MSI's Press Release:
Salt Lake City, Utah. March 21, 2010The 2010 Subaru Freeskiing World Tour came to a close today on Snowbird's North Baldy venue at the Subaru Freeskiing World Championships and the level of skiing in both the Finals and Super-Finals was absolutely awe-inspiring.

In the Men's competition, Lars Chickering-Ayers of Mad River Glen, Vermont, wowed spectators with a huge air off of Flying Squirrel Cliff and an adrenaline-pumping straight-line to a double-drop in the Amphitheater. Chickering-Ayers's fast-aggressive line earned him the top spot with a combined score of 125.57.
"I just went as hard as I could," said Chickering-Ayers of his championship performance.
Drew Stoecklein, a Snowbird local, finished a close second to Chickering-Ayers with a combined score of 121.37. Bird locals rounded out the Men's top four with Snowbird skier Oakley White-Allen taking the bronze and Nick Greener following close behind in the fourth place spot.

Squaw Valley, California skier Arne Backstrom checked out with a slightly disappointing ninth place finish today. His finish was nevertheless good enough to allow Backstrom to hang on to the inaugural McConkey Cupthe award for the overall leader of the Freeskiing World Tour.
Continuing a big day for Snowbird locals, Bird skier Angel Collinson won the Women's competition, turning in a combined score of 104.23. Collinson's aggressive skiing, highlighted by a double drop in the Amphitheater, not only earned her the top spot in today's contest, but also cemented her place atop the Women's Overall Tour Standings and the first-ever Women's McConkey Cup.
Although she left spectators awestruck, Collinson downplayed her aggressive skiing and brazen line choice. "I went for it, because this isn't about winning, it's about skiing," said Collinson.

"He is the overall leader and inspiration of freeskiing," said Event Director Bryan Barlow. "It was Shane's vision to create a freeskiing competition, to bring the world's best skiers to one place and demonstrate the progression. His legacy will continue to live on through the spirit of the Subaru Freeskiing World Tour and through the athletes that earn his Cup. We know he'd be proud of the progression all the athletes displayed today.''
Behind Collinson in second was Crystal Wright, of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with a 103.17. And in third was Emily Teague, of Aspen, Colorado, with a 96.53.
