The Canadian province of Quebec doesn't have the big mountains of the West, so young skiers living in Quebec quickly get bored and look for extra challenges. Enter the urban landscapes of Montreal and other cities, which fill these skiers' need for excitement and creativity. Ever since the early days of the New Canadian Air Force, Quebec has been as destination for urban jibbing for all the major ski film crews. The snowy winters and steep landscapes are perfect for skiers looking for staircases, gaps or any other original features you can imagine.

The new breed of urban freeskiers are amongst the best in the industry: Phil Casabon is leading the scene along with veterans like JF Houle and Charles Gagnier. Newcomers like Paul Bergeron and slopestyle sensation Kaya Turski are also turning heads. Every season brings fresh faces and new spots to the legendary QC urban scene. This year is no different.

The following images were shot while filming for Level 1's latest release, "Eye Trip," during an urban shoot with Phil Casabon, JF Houle, Will Wesson and Kaya Turski.
