Of the 13 million hours of footage uploaded to YouTube in 2010, I would guess that about 10 million of those hours were accounted for by unexciting and poorly edited amateur GoPro footage. Okay, so 10 million might be pushing it, but the fact is the rise of high quality yet inexpensive POV cameras has led to a flood of low quality ski footage on the internet. But give that same camera to a quality production company with a roster of talented skiers and suddenly you have a home movie that's worth watching.

For the fourth episode of the season, the Salomon Freeski TV crew filmed an entire episode using only GoPro cameras. What sets this edit apart is the amount of planning, scripting and experience that went into the filming. So even though Salomon's local GoPro expert Chris Rubens says, "The beauty of GoPros is you're just shredding with your buddies while filming ... At the end of the day, you carefully analyze what angles work, what doesn't work and build upon your experience to get quality shots the next day."
