A couple weeks ago I called out Dylan Natale as one of the guys to watch out for in Rage Films' upcoming movie, Such Is Life. Now I've interviewed him because he's funny, and I had a couple photos of him.

Age?
Older than I look.

Origin?
New Hartford, CT.

Sponsors?
Atomic, Saga Outerwear, POC, Hestra.

Hobbies?
Ping Pong -- I play a ton of it.

Education?
I graduated high school and college, but college took a little longer than high school.

How did your season with Rage go? Highlights? Lowlights? Outstanding moments the memory of which still elicits an emotional response in you?
The season went really well. It was my second pretty much injury free year. As far as highlights and lowlights, we took a trip to Wyoming that was filled with both. It snowed a week straight. I jumped off tons of rocks and cliffs, and skied pretty much untracked powder in Jackson Hole's backcountry all week. Once the storms stopped, we hopped on our sleds and headed into the backcountry. I happened to look behind me during a lunch break and saw a wall of snow running towards us all. I'd never been in an avalanche before. I have to say they are terrifying, but in a way a great eye opener to the dangers of skiing. Luckily, everyone made it pretty much to the surface, although a few snowmobiles got tangled up with each other and needed some TLC.

With which poet do you identify most, Bob Dylan or Dylan Thomas?
I didn't know who Dylan Thomas was exactly, so I was going to say Bob Dylan cause he sings some pretty sweet classics. But then I found a picture of Dylan Thomas sweeter than any of Bob Dylan's sweetest songs, so I'm going to say Dylan Thomas. That's pretty clear, right?

Dylan Thomas

A picture of Dylan Thomas sweeter than any of Bob Dylan's sweetest songs.

If you answered Dylan Thomas, does that have anything to do with your decision to film primarily with a company called Rage?
I think I pretty much already answered that question.

Who are your favorite people to ski with?
Kyler Cooley, Ian Cosco, MC Waryas, Mike Mertion, of course John Symms...

Do you think hand drags are so hot right now, or hella played out?
I don't feel right saying played out since I have never really tried them. But yeah, they're getting a bit played these days.

How many hand drags will you have in your segment?
I'd be pretty surprised to see any in there after my previous comment.

Any skiing planned this summer? Going to Mt. Hood for a week to film your whole segment?
No real plans to ski this summer. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I dont think I can start and finish my segment at Hood. Maybe we could do some SLC urban though or film at the water ramps in Park City.

Besides Tanner Hall and Simon Dumont, what skiers do you respect and admire most?
You pretty much read my mind.

Besides hand drags and double tip boner grabs, what do you think the sickest thing happening in skiing is right now?
I think it's awesome how concerned everyone is with what is "so hot" right now. You know how that avalanche story was a lowlight of my season? Well, I actually lost both my ski poles in it, so in a way I guess it's a highlight because I didn't ski with poles for the rest of the day. Wait, is that still cool?

Dylan goes to the rim as he wishes he was a little bit taller.

I heard that you own beach property in the tropics. Are you, like, hella rich, or something?
Pretty much, yeah, you nailed it. I also just got back from a surf trip to Central America. Isn't that what pro skiers do after the season's over? But yeah, I actually do own some land in Nicaragua, although it's not quite beach front.

If you had to choose between a nose job and a Mazda Miata for your Sweet Sixteen present, which would you choose, and would you be mad that you had to choose?
Is the Miata a convertable, and can I pick the color? Wait, what's wrong with my nose?

What if it snowed in San Francisco?
ICER Air would go off even more than usual. And maybe all those Californians could finally put their large SUV's to use and engage that 4-wheel drive.

What are the missing numbers in this sequence: ..., 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5, 10, 11, 13, 8, 7, 14, _, _, _, 26, 25, 14?...
Is there really a pattern?

What are your three favorite CD's to listen to?
I pretty much burn the worst CD's ever to be honest and don't think I own any original CD's anymore. I'm listening to an "Immerse Yourself in Spanish" CD now so I'm not a typical Gringo when I get back down to Nicaragua. It's an 8-disc package, so I'll pick the first three of those discs since that Spanish is the easiest to grasp.

What are your three favorite CD's to like as a means of projecting a certain type of image or personality to others?
I'm actually pretty embarrassed usually to have people I don't know listen to my music.

Do you believe in blunt grabs?
Not at all. It's a tail grab.
