Night moves

Smith grinds aren't easy. The angle of your board in relation to the object you're grinding is awkward. To sit on one properly, both your back truck and the center of your deck should be touching the object; that's difficult enough. Now make the object a sketchy, tall round bar. Now make the bank you're riding some rough-as-s**t asphalt. Now make the session at night with only a spotty generator light and a camera flash to guide your path. Times like these, a pretty picture can make the fun seem like the labor of a job. Ed handles business. (Photo: Mike Burnett)
