Marcus Grönholm of Finland defeated reigning champion Tanner Foust of the United States by a little more than two seconds May 26 to win the first event of the 2012 Global RallyCross season at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C.

Stephan Verdier of France finished third. Here are the final results:
