I recently observed the English riders folding the upper portion of calf socks under the heel into an ankle sock. First impression, it focuses on the extra cushion and conspicuous mass tucked in shoe. Within 24 hours, blisters appear on both heels, and over the next four days, give me much pain. One bursts on its own through daily activity, it's unpleasant existence is then lost to me. I drain the other with minimal puncture and am soon pain free.
