Powerful wind gusts give a motion to the van akin to a rowboat riding shallow waves. Landscape exhibits grass, bush, sand and rock of unsaturated yellow, green, blue and gray. Diminutive dust-tornados dance, then dissipate. Barbed wire fence continues for indeterminate distance. Lost sense of bearing during the movements in the last town, I cannot convince myself that our motion matches the direction we suppose on the map.
