Well, it definitely makes sense. Jones Snowboards has announced Canadian rider Jonaven Moore as the first addition to their team, apart from company founder Jeremy Jones. "Jonaven is not only one of my favorite people to go into the mountains with, but also a rider that pushes my riding. He's an obvious match for Jones," said Jones. The new snowboard line will introduce four models for their debut season, which will hit stores Fall 2010. Moore will help to design and test the brand's all-mountain,...

Episode 2 of this season's Flipside show is here. Taking a behind-the-scenes look at the filming adventures of Absinthe's "Neverland," this segment has Bode Merrill climbing (and spinning over) a giant fence, Wolfgang Nyvelt and Gigi Ruf doing chairlift taps and cat-track gaps in Cervina, Italy, plus some fun time with cops breaking up a session in downtown Salt Lake, and Dan Brisse proving he is not afraid of a challenge, by gapping one of the heaviest street gaps of all time. Peep it.

We've seen a lot of team delevopment in the past year from 6.0 -- in addition to KP and Banger, the full pro team now consists of all-round ripper and Midwestern-rooted good guy Mason Aguirre, Finish powerhouse Peetu Piiroinen, young Olympic contender Ellery Hollingsworth, and the ever stylish Volcom girl Elena Hight. Or how 'bout installing a curved rail, or an "S" rail, or adding stairs to make it more street? At the time, nobody had seen anything like it. Check the clip.
"When Mack Dawg Productions told me they were not making a video in 2009 I wasn't sure what to do about filming for this past season," said Ettala. "I had worked on filming video parts my entire career and this was the first time that I didn't have any solid plans. So, I was stoked to film for the Tracking Eero TV show and after the season was done, I selected my favorite shots from the season and fit them into one song! This is one of the most well rounded video parts I have ever put out."

One of the most positive movements in shred, Stoked was founded by Sal Masekela and Steve Larosiliere with the goal of impacting disadvantaged youth through participation in snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing.
You can stop drinking (as much) now. With a bluebird sky, 72 inches of Northwest love at the summit, and a 67 inch base at the lower lodge, Mt. Baker opened November 12th to a ravenous crowd. Even with both base areas filled and more people than I can ever remember on an opening day in my last 9 years at Mt. Baker, many turns off the main throughways laid untouched until after the lunch hour, and I heard numerous claims of, "Best opening day ever!" at the lodge when the lifts closed for the day. In last year's Standard Films' release, "Aesthetica," Horgmo went top to bottom at Northstar-at-Tahoe in one take. If you're connected into social media at all, you may have seen this photo of Annie Boulanger blasting some early season pow at Whistler ... but just in case you missed it, we're posting it here, as if we haven't pounded into your head just how good it is in the Pacific Northwest right now -- considering it's mid-November. Jon Kooley, Jordan Mendenhall, Nima Jalali, Will Tuddenham, Jake Olson-Elm, Nick Dirks, and Jed Anderson make up the new snow team for KR3W, and it's clear they're going after a roster whose riding is skate influenced....

While cold temps and cooperative snowfall means that resorts in the European Alps are enjoying an early go at the 2009-10 season, just a few months back Austria's Pitztal Valley hit the switch on a new machine that allows them to churn out Franken-snow, no matter what the weather.Until recently, snowmakers needed at least near-freezing temperatures to fire up the guns, but this past summer the Pitztal Valley ski area upgraded with an "All Weather Snowmaker" that can produce nearly 35,000 cubic feet...

But what Breckenridge lacks in early season snow pack (currently at 18-inches), they have compensated with their terrain features. The resort opened November 12 with a triple jump line located on Park Lane, and by the look things, there's plenty of awesome-ness to be had.
