To think some dudes change their grip when they get a little dirt on it.

You ever been to the skatepark and seen the guy, you know the guy I'm talking about, the guy that's really just in his own zone? Maybe he's a bit of a Barney. And maybe he even has a ponytail or one bracelet too many. But for whatever reason, you really can't hate on this guy. He's cruising and he's really feeling it. And even though he might not be doing anything close to a modern skateboard trick, he's got some lines down and he looks pretty cool on his board.

There's something to be said for the soul skater so comfortable in his own skin that he can pull off his outrageous kit and his Dogtown wannabe soul carves without catching flack from the tech ledge crew. That guy's got some magic, some wizard magic.

At any rate, I was rolling through the Roger website today because Stacy and Sieben can usually make me chuckle. And I came across a link to an artsy video that their Canadian rider Nate Lacoste is in. "Wizard Smoke" appears to be something that was made for an art project; if not, these guys are seriously creative, have a lot of free time and some great cameras on hand. This little video presents the vibe of that soul carving, skatepark cruiser bro and packages it up with some stylish current-ish skating. That and, you know, wizard smoke. Trip out.
