My buddy Ryan Dewitt has worked in the skate industry for over a decade. Though he's a New Jersey native, he's been living and working out west for most of that time. Recently though, he moved back east, settled into life in Brooklyn and took a job with Vans. It's nice to have Dewitt back on the East side and it's especially nice when I get the occasional call to come skate Vans' private facility in Brooklyn, the House of Vans. On this rainy November evening, Vans had invited some skateshop crews from 2nd Nature in Upstate New York as well as Exit and Reign from the Philly area. Between the brand new bowl and the street obstacles, people were getting down.
