Hailing from San Diego, Calif., Adrian Mallory has been on the scene for a while. After a stint over at Pig Wood, Mallory was inducted into the society of Creature fiends and has traveled the world with them twice over in an old van. With a recent move to Northern California, he's focused on skating and working double overtime to film for two videos due out in 2012. Welcome to the world of Adrian Mallory.
ESPN.com: What have you been up to?
Mallory: Just been doing a lot of skateboarding lately. I ride my bike around with my skateboard on my back and skate.
What kind of bike are we talking about? Like a pedal bike or a motorcycle?
An actual pedal bike.
Road bike or fixed gear?
It's a fixed gear bike.
You're living up in San Francisco now correct?
Yup, up in the beautiful Tenderloin. The epicenter of drugs in the area (laughs).
How's living up north?
It's been awesome. There is so much to skate and you can skate to anywhere.
Do you miss San Diego?
As of late I'm pretty hyped to be away from it. I lived there my entire life until a few months ago.
And how old are you?
24 going on 25 next month, quarter of a century.
Eric PalozzoloMallory, frontside rock. What's the worst part about riding for a skateboard company with 15 dudes on it?
Packed vans?! That's not really bad though. It's a pretty tight crew. Is there really a downfall?
What's the best part about for a company with that many guys?
It's full of your friends.
Good outlook. What's the best Creature trip you've been on?
I had a lot of fun on the van trip with no pros. David turned pro on that trip. It was a two-month trip and we went everywhere on the West Coast and we picked up random people. It was awesome because we had no itinerary.
What kind of music are you into as of late?
I've been listening to music but not really expanding on what I've been listening too. Kind of the same old same old, like cheesy '80s hair metal.
Do you have a favorite band?
I've been listening to a lot of Symphony X. It's kind of fantasy metal-ish (laughs).
What are you working on?
I'm filming for a Creature video and an OJ video.
Wow, double duty. Are you going to have a part in both?
That's the plan. I'm going to do my best.
