The Definition of 'flick'

Flick is a fickle thing. The way each and ever skater flicks his toes on kickflip variations is as different and varied as the skaters themselves. No two flicks are alike, and nearly every one has its merits. From the speedy flick of Kerry Getz to the mobbed out kick of Mark Gonzales, a skater's flick is like a fingerprint: intricate, detailed and always distinctive. In or out of contests, some skaters use their flick to clear gaps and others use them on more precise pastimes, like well-poked kickflip backside nosegrinds as Felipe Ortiz is doing here.
