Voyage skateboards is a continuation in the city of Philadelphia's long tradition of do-it-yourself, creative skateboarding. Philly has a granite and steel place in skateboaridng's history and Voyage is looking to add to that tradition in the new millennium.

WHAT IT IS:
Voyage Skateboard Company is relatively new to the skateboard scene yet has a very mature presence and it feels like they have been around for much longer then they have. Getting its start in Philadelphia, it represents, "blue collar skateboarding from a blue collar company in a blue collar city," according to founder, Bill Reeves.

WHY IT RULES:

With the amount of big corporations making their way into the skateboarding world at present, it's refreshing to see skater owned and operated skateboard companies still making a go of it. With a raw aesthetic and a great slogan "pushing for pleasure," Voyage skateboards are for every skateboarder.

Caring about more than just profit, "Voyage skateboards are 100% handmade in the U.S.A," says Reeves.

WHERE TO FIND IT:
If your local shop doesn't carry the boards yet, ask them to. And if they give you the "too cool for school" routine, then check out Voyage goods on their website to find out where you can order their boards from.
