Zak Hale came up in Big Bear, California and it shows. His easy-style approach to technical park riding is the obvious result of years spent hot lapping Bear Mountain. He's been a super-grom-rail-jam champ for years now, but Hale is all (or... almost) grown up now. At least, at 19, he's all done growing.
Hale's one of the young bucks on the starting list for the X Games Snowboard Street competition this year. In December he was out in Park City where we talked about how it feels to become an X Games athlete, and who he'd invite to the contest if he were allowed to choose.
