New York's East River Park was taken over by 20,000 freezing fans and 16 of the world's best snowboarders on Thursday night. Here's how the contest shook out. Come back later today for full coverage from the night's festivities.

New Jersey's Shayne Pospisil, an alternate in the comp, won first place and $50,000 with a backside 900. "It all came together tonight. I landed all my runs," said Pospisil after being carried away on the shoulders of the crowd. "Having all of my friends and family here is amazing. It's a dream come true." Norway's Torstein Horgmo stuck a frontside 900 tailgrab to steal second place and third place went to another east coaster, New Hampshire's own Scotty Lago, who also stuck a backside 900. Terje Haakonsen stuck a one-footed method to earn Best Trick honors for the night.

New Yorkers turned out in full force for Red Bull's Snowscrapers event. If anyone tells you it was cold, they have another thing coming. It was a deep freeze.
