Paul Thacker has a new job: Slednecks Invasion Tour Manager. Sled Man Talking learned of this appointment today on Slednecks, though it's apparently old news because the release is dated Jan. 5. So while surely we can't be the first to congratulate Thacker, we can say this: "You're doing a bang-up job, kid."
Of course he is. Dig this video of Thacker on the job with a Minneapolis TV news personalityit's in advance of this weekend's big festivus at Canterbury Park, southwest of Minneapolis-St. Paul. Invasion Tour action commences tonight at 7 p.m. with Thacker, Sam Rogers and Cody Borchers. The event is free. So get on it. And in doing so, help Thacker do his job.
Press Releases: THACKER'S NEW JOB
Slednecks has added another title for world record distance jumper, film star, X Games freestyler and Monster Energy Slednecks Invasion Tour participant: Slednecks Invasion Tour Manager.
"We're stoked to add Paul to our management team, he's been a loyal Slednecks team rider now for five plus years and he has the skills as an athlete and a manager to be able to handle all aspects of the tour. Not only do we see this as a great fit for Slednecks but also for Thacker's sponsor and tour sponsor Monster Energy," states Slednecks GM Miechal Durkin.
Paul Thacker will work with Slednecks to grow the Slednecks Invasion Tour and make it bigger and better for fans and sponsors alike.
"I am stoked to be able to use my management experience as well as my talents on a sled. I am looking forward to adding to both my relationship with Monster Energy as well as Slednecks. I have quite a few good years left tearing it up on a sled but this gives me an opportunity to add another iron to the fire and showcase my skills off the sled for the future," says Thacker.
