There was a time in this blog's life when getting photos or videos, let alone an actual Sled Man of the Sled Man Talking universe talking, seriously warranted consideration for official Herculean Task designation. Now—WX week— is not one of those times. And so we count down to the ramp up for the meeting of the SnoMo Tribes with this dispatch (photos, video and sprechen sie sleds!) from Kremmling, Colo., home of Chris Burandt.

Paul Thacker broke it down for us this way:

Monster/Slednecks

"Hey all, it's PT doing a quick update between sessions with Sam Rogers, Steve Martin and Burandt here in Kremmling at the Monster Energy/Burandt freestyle compound. I can't believe X is so close! Seems like it sneaks up on us every year. We have been out here in Colorado for the last several days getting used to the elevation and ripping freestyle. Word is we may even get a backcountry session in with the Man (Chris Burandt and his Back Country tours) soon."

"Things are looking good for X. I have been fortunate enough to be riding the Slednecks/Monster Energy Invasion tour shows so I have been on the sled more than ever. New tricks are looking good and flipping is more comfortable than ever... Who knows, maybe there will even be some flip tricks in my bag this year! You will have to tune into X Games to check it out."

"Make sure to check out slednecks.com and paulthacker11.com for new and crazy upcoming events! Lots off cool stuff coming down the pipe. Until next time... keep ripping!"

Thacker's got a lot going on, but we conclude "the new and crazy upcoming events" reference refers to this—a little dealio known as the World Record Summit and/or Sickest Trick Contest featuring Thacker, Travis Pastrana, Danny Way, Nate Adams and Jake Brown. We'll explore this further... next week, for sure.
